In June of 2004 a few of us girlsfmx members got together in Oakland, CA. after the Crusty Demons show to meet each other and possibly the Crusty guys! After a while of being out there, some riots broke out and we ended up sneaking backstage! We followed the signs to the athletes. Once we arrived in this lobby area we noticed security standing out side a door, we knew that's where they were. Security kept trying to get rid of us, but to our surprise Mad Mike Jones happened to be out in the lobby, he asked if we had a sharpie for him to use so he could sign a kids jersey. Jackie then turned around and gave him her pen, after that he signed our shirts then asked us why we weren't inside the riders lounge? We told him because we had no passes to get in, he tried to get us in but security was being tough. We asked him to get Deegs., Enslow, and/or Faisst out to sign our shirts, he told us he would.
We really didn't expect those guys to come out, but they did! Next thing we knew Enslow came out to sign our shirts. He asked us the same question Mad Mike asked us about why we weren't in the lounge, we told him why, and then he tried to get us in. No luck! I couldn't believe security was being so harsh, not letting us in with the Pros. We asked him to see if Faisst and/or Deegs. Would be kind enough to come out. We waited, as security still tried to get us out of there, we didn't listen to them. I'm glad we didn't because… Next thing we hear is Deegs. voice, we all turn at the same time and yelled “DEEGS.” he says, “I hear some fans need some signatures!” He then signed all three of our shirts, and had security get us passes to get into the lounge! We went into the lounge with the Crusty guys; all of us were shocked, excited, and star struck all at the same time.
What an experience we all had, we will never forget it, and we will meet up with them again!
